Vibram Five Fingers: No Booty, No Bueno

Earlier this week there was a lot of buzz in the sneaker community about the lawsuit against Reebok claiming that “toning shoes” actually did anything the company claimed. Though Reebok will have to pay $25 million back to consumers for false advertising, they’ve reportedly made over $300 million in their toning category. The $275 million … Read more

On My Feet Today – PUMA Clyde Script

I was lucky to have the good people at Footaction send me a pair of one of their newest additions to the store shelves. The PUMA Clyde ‘Script’ is a variation of the classic PUMA Clyde or PUMA Suede with a scripted ‘Clyde’ on the side panel. The shoe was first released in 1968 but was then made famous by NBA legend Walt ‘Clyde’ Frasier, who asked PUMA to make more colors and a wider last. PUMA obviously did so and the Clyde has been a regular part of sneaker culture in some form ever since. Retail is $65 and it uses some really nice materials, including real leather, which you probably won’t see on another shoe at that price point.

Considering I am obsessed with sneakers and the San Francisco Giants, it’s probably no surprise to anyone that knows me or reads my blog, knows that I’m also obsessed with Brian Wilson. Though I can definitely appreciate the man’s beard farming abilities, I’ve been slightly preoccupied with his choice of footwear since I noticed some … Read more

From Nike Sweatshops to Buzzfeed

http://video.inc.com/plugins/player.swf?v=f5aab3e89dc7c I guess this is an example of taking a negative and turning it into a positive. I never realized that Jonah Peretti was the person behind all the Nike sweatshop chain emails all those years ago (years? at the speed of the internet now, maybe decades is more appropriate). I’m not a regular visitor … Read more

adidas Player Exclusives: Gilbert Arenas TS Bounce Commander

Gilbert Arenas PE’s have slowly become sought after for my collection. He’s become one of my favorite players in the league, partially because of the diversity of shoes he wore on court last season, and partially because he has no filter whatsoever. I guess having no filter is the least of your worries when you’re … Read more

adidas Player Exclusives: Chauncey Billups Home TS Lightning Creator

adidas Player Exclusives: A break down of Chauncey Billups adidas shoes. I’ve been a fan of Chauncey Billups since I was in high school.
