Thanks to Matt and Allison, I was lucky enough to make a trip to Southern California recently to attend a Nike Training Event. Not only did I learn a lot about the history of Nike Training, and the latest Trainer 1, I met some great people as well. It was an incredible experience, and one I will never forget.
After the event concluded on Friday, I had some free time. Hoping to meet up with friends and family, my stay was extended to Monday morning. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to connect with anyone, so I decided to take in as much as possible of those things I miss so much about California. After picking up my blingin’ gold Focus rental car, I started by hitting up Coffee Bean, you know I can’t ever get enough of those Cafe Vanilla’s.
Friday night I hit up Undefeated’s Silver Lake location for the release of their latest release with Converse. Met some hella cool people, who knew from my lingo that I wasn’t quite a SoCal native. Shout out to Jimmy for the kindness, I’ll be hitting you up my next time in town. I miss these kind of events, cool people, drinks, music and a chill time for everyone.
Of course after that, (following another quick stop at Coffee Bean on Sunset) I had to go pretty much straight to the late night spot, and get some Fat Burger! Fat Deal with Skinny Fries is how I do it… It was a good day.

Fatburger…Fat Deal, Skinny Fries Please!
Full and ready for rest I ended up near here…
The next morning, I was able to hit up the Hella Flush meet in Santa Monica/Venice, so with Cafe Vanilla in hand, I snapped a few pictures. You can see them here. The meet was nice, a good turn out, and definitely a variety of cars to keep everybody interested, and nearly all of them Hella Flush!
All this talk of food has got me hungry so this will have to be continued…
