My Favorite Sneakers of 2013

Nick Engvall Best Sneakers of 2013

Choosing my favorite sneakers is a monumental task because I really do love sneakers. I also feel differently everyday about what my favorite shoe is, so you can imagine trying to revisit the hundreds that release over the course of a year. 2013 was one of the best years ever for sneaker fans. From collaborations from Packer Shoes, Sneakersnstuff and BAIT, to new designs like the Jordan XX SE and Nike Huarache Turf Lax, and the increasingly popular retro models from Reebok and ASICS to always on the shelf “retros” like the Air Max and Air Jordan lines, there was quality offerings all year long.

A couple things about my list for this year…I left off the Air Jordan III “88” because, no matter how many times I see that exact shoe, no sneakers will inspire me the way and rustle the memories the way those shoes do. It’s essentially in a world of its own. These shoes are the ones that I purchased or was given. There are a handful of others that I will list separately but I didn’t want to be telling people my “favorite shoes of the year” were shoes that I don’t own. I also just recently moved and don’t have access to all of my shoes, Big Sean x adidas Pro Model, Ice T x Vans Sk8-Hi and the “Knicks” Air Jordan would both be on the list and be ranked very high.

I’ve added a feature that lets you simply use your arrow keys left and right to go through the list as easily as possible. Please let me know what you think and if you created a “best of” sneaker list, leave me the link in the comments so I can check out your choices.
