Time Flies

This little butt munch turned 3 years old a couple of days ago and despite my continued requests, she still doesn’t speak English or have opposable thumbs to help out around the house. Still cute tho!

How is it possible that it’s been nearly 3 years since we picked her up from Wags and Walks and it seems like just yesterday but also, like an eternity? We picked Mika up in February of 2020, and for about a month, she had the chance to be a “normal” dog. That was thrown out the window in March when the pandemic locked down Los Angeles and much of the world.

I like to think that it was her being an unintentional pandemic puppy that led to all of her, um, challenging behavior. It couldn’t possibly be the effects of how we’ve spoiled, er, I mean, raised her, right? I mean, I know I’m stubborn but am I really Bull Terrier stubborn? Probably worse tbh.

Despite all of the headaches and emergency trips to the vet, she’s still my bff. She’s a ball hog and doesn’t share, but the older she gets the more snuggly she becomes. So if you don’t hear from me at times, I’m probably laying on the couch with her head tucked in between my neck and shoulder. Sorry, not sorry.

You’ve heard it a million times but I will say it again. We don’t deserve dogs.

More pics of Mika.
