Ever since I was young, I’ve been obsessed with the ocean and it’s always been a lifelong dream to live near it. More specifically, I have always wanted to live near Monterey Bay. The wildlife, ocean views, cool air, fog, and, of course, the car things like Monterey Car Week and Laguna Seca. This month, I am officially moving to Monterey, California.
If you’re unfamiliar, Monterey is located on the Central Coast of California. The city is known for its picturesque coastline, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and historic district. The city is also home to the Naval Postgraduate School and the Defense Language Institute. It’s a pretty small city, which will take some getting used to. It’s surrounded by agricultural land that I’ve known all my life as the “salad bowl of the world.”
I could not be more excited and can’t wait to find ways to become a part of the local community.
