Rain or Tears

RAIN OR TEARS

Listening to the rain and my mind begins to stray

the stirring in my soul takes me to another day

A place far from my home but near to my heart

A life that I loved before it had the chance to start

From a distance, I fell victim to her beautiful eyes,

drawn so perfectly, not even words can describe,

I’ve tried so many it times and none will realize

perfection only matched by curves of her hips and thighs.

The first time around my nerves got the best of me

but when we crossed that bridge, she truly got the rest of me

Heart, mind, body and soul, like she set me free

opened me up like it was really meant to be

Like an angel she saved me from my own disgrace,

I close my eyes and imagine her warm embrace,

recount the perfections of her body that I used to trace

with my tongue, lick my lips and it’s her i taste

I couldn’t seem to say words she needed to hear

what was said that night was clouded in fear

If I could just go back maybe, and whisper in her ear

I wouldn’t be laying here, holding back these tears

Rain or Tears.
