The Art of War…with Instagram

1

I’m constantly on my BlackBerry, even now as I type this, I’m laying in bed at 2:30-something in the morning and still typing away, testing and toying with new apps. Although, to be fair, I’m not quite as dedicated as some BlackBerry users, for instance I’m listening to music on my iPod Touch (Marry Me by Train on repeat, don’t ask) that’s sitting next to me on the night stand.

In recent months, one of the biggest reasons I’ve considered make the move to an iPhone, is the camera abilities. If I could take higher resolution pictures on my mobile device, I’d be much more likely to actually blog more frequently. Seeing all of the iPhone users blasting instagram photos all over Twitter and Facebook is a big reason, my friend @dopez is the most amazing instagram user around, every picture she posts makes me want an iPhone.

This week another friend of mine, @SoleLo, introduced me to Photo Studio for BlackBerry. It’s a great app for BlackBerry users with instagram envy. There are tons of tools and adjustments to create amazing photos. You can add borders, effects, crop, resize, brightness, contrast, hues and just about anything else you can imagine. I ended up paying the extra 99 cents for the added borders/features just because I was so impressed with the app. BlackBerry users should definitely check it out and see the photos below for a sample of the various effects available.
