On My Feet Today – PUMA Clyde Script

I was lucky to have the good people at Footaction send me a pair of one of their newest additions to the store shelves. The PUMA Clyde ‘Script’ is a variation of the classic PUMA Clyde or PUMA Suede with a scripted ‘Clyde’ on the side panel. The shoe was first released in 1968 but was then made famous by NBA legend Walt ‘Clyde’ Frasier, who asked PUMA to make more colors and a wider last. PUMA obviously did so and the Clyde has been a regular part of sneaker culture in some form ever since. Retail is $65 and it uses some really nice materials, including real leather, which you probably won’t see on another shoe at that price point.
