Gilbert Arenas PE’s have slowly become sought after for my collection. He’s become one of my favorite players in the league, partially because of the diversity of shoes he wore on court last season, and partially because he has no filter whatsoever. I guess having no filter is the least of your worries when you’re bringing guns to the locker room though. Arenas is definitely the lesser of two evils in the whole gun charges situation, especially considering Javaris Crittenton is now facing murder charges.
What I really like about a lot of the adidas PE’s that were made for Arenas, ok, maybe not a lot taking into consideration he has about 100 various player exclusives. What it is that gets me, is the simplicity of some of the colorways. They look like they could be your everyday general release colorway and have nothing more than a sample tag and be in Gilbert’s size 13.5. On the other hand, like the TS Cut Creator in White and Silver, only subtle details on the heel with Gilbert’s signature and jersey number etched in, give any clue that it was created specifically for Arenas. The TS Bounce Commander lands in the prior of the two examples. It comes in a simple White and Gold colorway that would have been worn by Arenas during his time with the Washington Wizards.
