Brian Wilson’s St. Patrick’s Day Nike Cleats

It’s no secret that beards cause mancrushes. It’s a crazy phenomenon, but there are at least a few million people, most of which were at the Giants World Champion celebratory parade with me, that would completely agree. Brian Wilson’s Nike sneaker obsession, combined with the Fear the Beard mantra that led San Francisco to their first World Series title, has made him one of the athletes I follow closely as of late. That and of course, he is just plain AWESOME.

It always helps to get fined for his orange gift from Nike. Wilson took a Sharpie to the special All-Star cleats and avoided dishing out any extra money but for St. Patrick’s Day, Wilson outsmarted any MLB execs that might have wanted to fine him. Brian Wilson's St. Patrick's Day Nike Cleats

Brian Wilson’s Irish heritage had him back with Sharpie in hand again for the traditionally green holiday.

If you’re a fellow San Francisco Giants fan, one of the sites you will enjoy checking out is AZGIANTS.com. I’ve been regularly keeping up on, not only the growth of Brian Wilson and Sergio Romo’s beards, but also Tim Lincecum’s search for a new cleat deal, thanks to the great photography on the AZGIANTS website.
